Tommy is the founder and president of FIRST Financial Group. Born in Raleigh, NC, Tommy has devoted himself to family, fitness and his clients’ finances. He founded FFG in 1994 with a mission to be one of the top advisors in the Raleigh area, and has since extended that mission to include the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area. Tommy has worked continuously to stay on top of current trends and ideas in the field. For almost 30 years he has demonstrated a consistent ability to help protect and grow the hard-earned assets of his clients, while helping them achieve their goals.

Tommy graduated from East Carolina University in 1989. Tommy holds a Masters’ of Science in Financial Services and holds Professional Degrees from The American College, Bryn Mar, PA, including the Charted Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He also holds the NC Life, Accident & Health Insurance Licenses as well as Medicare Supplement & Long Term Care Licenses.

Tommy is a member of The American Society of Financial Service Professionals, Financial Planning Association, ECU Alumni Association, Wakefield United Methodist Church, Pi Kappa Alpha Oak Trust, Coastal Conservation Association, ECU Chancellor’s Society and Education Foundation.

Tommy lives in Raleigh and Wrightsville Beach and has two children, both attending his alma mater, ECU. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his kids, running, fishing and paddle boarding.

Kurt was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. Kurt relocated to Raleigh after living in Los Angeles, CA where he worked in the film in music industries. Kurt joined FIRST Financial Group in 2003, and is an Investment Advisor Representative.

Kurt is a graduate of Penn State University. He recently earned his Professional Designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. He holds NC Life, Accident & Health Insurance Licenses as well as Medicare Supplement & Long Term Care Licenses.

Kurt is actively involved in several community organizations serving on Boards of Directors as well as coaching sports from ice hockey to soccer.

Kurt’s family is the focus of his life. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, being an avid golfer and skier and being active in many fitness programs. He spends as much time as possible with his friends and family.

Debbie was born and raised in Boston, MA. She moved to North Carolina in 2006 with her family and joined FIRST Financial Group in 2011.

Debbie’s previous experience includes working as a vice-president in the municipal finance department of a commercial bank in Boston, MA., and as a sales assistant on the institutional fixed income trading desk of an investment bank. Debbie also served for four years as a member of the Town of Westwood, Massachusetts Finance Commission.

Her education includes a BA from Boston College (1986) and a MBA from Bentley University (1992). Debbie also holds the NC Life Insurance License and the Series 65 securities license.

Debbie lives in Wake Forest with her dog, Jessie and her cat, Pippa.  She has 4 grown children living in various cities across the country. She enjoys spending time with her family, travel, fitness, sports and music.

Tommy was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina.  He graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management. Tommy holds the NC Life, Accident & Health Insurance License and the Series 65 Securities License. Currently, Tommy is furthering his education by pursuing his Professional Designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College of Financial Services.

Tommy finds fulfillment in his role as President of the East Carolina University Alumni Chapter in Wake County, where he actively engages with his community. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, surfing, and working out.

Nicole was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, where she attended Richard Bland College and Virginia Commonwealth University. She moved to Raleigh with her family in 2006. With 16 years in banking, she decided to make a career change to the Financial Industry and joined FIRST Financial Group in 2018. Nicole also holds the NC Life Insurance License.

Nicole is a huge advocate for helping others. She has been actively involved in the community serving as an Advocate and Event Committee Member with the Catfish Classic for the ALS Association NC Chapter since 2009.  She was an Ambassador with the Wake Forest Chamber from 2012-2018, where Nicole acted as a liaison between the Chamber and new businesses in the Wake Forest area.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, watching and playing sports, music and traveling.
