Estate Planning

Make sure what you built goes where you want it to go.

Estate planning is a difficult subject to bring up, and an easy one to put off. But it is an important part of any complete financial plan, and it is one of the kindest things you can do for the people you love.

A clear plan saves your family from guessing your wishes during an already difficult time.

How FFG helps

  • Getting organized

A clear picture of what you own, how it is titled, and who is named on each account.

  • Beneficiaries

Reviewing beneficiary designations on retirement accounts and insurance policies. These often override a will, and they are often out of date.

  • Coordinating with your attorney

We make sure the documents your attorney drafts match the way your accounts are actually set up.

  • Legacy and giving

Thinking through what you want to leave to family, and what you want to leave to the causes you care about.

  • Keeping it current

Marriages, births, moves and losses all change the plan. We revisit it with you as life changes.

What we do not do

FFG does not draft wills or trusts or provide legal advice. We work with your estate attorney, and we can introduce you to one if you need it.

How it works

Every client goes through the same four steps.

  1. Introductory Meeting

We identify your goals and decide together whether we are the right fit.

  2. Exploration Phase

A deeper dive into your personal and financial situation.

  3. Detailed Planning

An easy to follow roadmap that addresses what matters most to you.

  4. Ongoing Aid and Advice

As your life changes, your plan changes with it.
